7. Brandin Cooks
Brandin Cooks will almost certainly go in the top 5 rounds of the draft, so its hard to call him a sleeper, but we believe he will put up fantasy numbers similar to the very top receivers. Cooks played in only 10 games as rookie and was inconsistent as he accumulated 550 yards receiving yards and three touchdowns. This isn’t a hugely promising start considered how well rookie receivers like Odell Beckham Jr., Mike Evans and more handled the jump to the pros, but remember, that is not the norm. Typically receivers struggle in their first year and that’s what we saw with Cooks. Jimmy Graham is gone but Drew Brees and Sean Payton remain in New Orleans, meaning there will be plenty of fantasy points to be had from a pass catcher, and we are banking on Brandin Cooks.
