4. Adam Archuleta (S Washington Redskins 2006)
Adam Archuleta had formed into a fine strong safety for the St. Louis Rams by the end of the 2005 season. Due to his performance in St. Louis, Archuleta received many lucrative offers. The most lucrative offer came from none other than Daniel Snyder with the Washington Redskins. He gave Archuleta a 7-year contract worth $35 million, which is quite pricey for a strong safety. Like many of Snyder’s decisions, this didn’t end well for the Redskins. Archuleta played just one miserable season in D.C., and was then shipped to Chicago where he played another year and called it quits.
