7. 1986 Denver Broncos
The AFC put up several sacrificial lambs for the NFC to slaughter during the 1980s. After the beating the 1985 Patriots took in Super Bowl 20, it was difficult to imagine another such drubbing, but it came a year later in Super Bowl 21. During the regular season, the 1986 Denver Broncos only gained 27 more yards rushing than the defense gave up. Denver gained o52 yards rushing against the New York Giants in Super Bowl 21. A 39-20 drubbing was not as close as the nearly 20-point deficit indicates. Denver was simply outclassed in every phase of the game.
