4. Shannon Sharpe (TE Baltimore Ravens 2000)
The Denver Broncos felt their long-time star tight end was washed up after the 1999 season. So they refused to pay him big bucks. That was a huge mistake, and Baltimore capitalized on it. Sharpe played 2 seasons in Baltimore and was as good as ever. His 2000 campaign helped the Baltimore Ravens win the Super Bowl. Sharpe surpassed 800 yards receiving in both of his seasons with the Ravens. He most certainly was far from washed up. Oddly enough, Denver ended up re-signing Sharpe in 2002, and that’s where he finished his brilliant career.
